Felipe Drugovich has officially left Aston Martin, which has announced Jak Crawford as its new third and reserve driver.
Aston Martin has confirmed the departure of reserve driver Felipe Drugovich after the Las Vegas Grand Prix, having recently announced Jak Crawford as its new third and reserve driver.
Drugovich, the 2022 Formula 2 champion, was the first signing of Aston Martin’s development programme when it was formed, which took place the same year he won the junior class.

He quickly became a reserve driver for the Silverstone-based team and went on to take part in several FP1s and tests for Aston Martin. Drugovich has not held a permanent race driver position since winning the F2 title. However, he will race for Andretti in Formula E next season.
The Brazilian’s move to Andretti was announced in September, with the season opening in two weeks’ time in Sao Paulo. Following the move, it was clear that a departure from Aston Martin was likely.
It was officially announced shortly after the end of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, with Aston Martin releasing a brief statement on social media, accompanied by a photo of Drugovich with the team.
The statement read: “A warm farewell to Felipe Drugovich, who, after three years with the team, leaves us this weekend. We wish him every success for the future.”
